I created this game on Scratch with a certain little friend of mine in mind. We are working on letter identity fluency, so I thought this would be good for him.

Animated Movie - Who's Who at Our School

This is a short animated movie I made for EDTC 5113. This is a video that I would send to families at the beginning of the school year so they would have an idea about who's who in our classroom and the school. I chose to use Powtoon to make my animation and while I found the program fairly easy to use, I didn't know I was actually using a "pro" program on a 3 day trial period and I found it difficult to download it, so I had export it to youtube. I am happy with the finished project and hopefully it all stays there after my 3 days are up.

Who's Who at Our School

EDTC 5113 Introduction

Hello! My name is Courtney Parks and I don't have a lot of digital media production experience, so I am including a self family picture that I took. When we began the adoption process, I began to dabble in photography since we did not know the age(s) of the kid(s) we would be getting and I wanted to be able to take great pictures of them right away. Little did we know we would end up with a newborn then have a surprise. Regardless, I learned a lot about photography both in the class I took and through research and love that I can now take good pictures of my family like this one that is straight out of the camera (unedited). 

I received my undergraduate degree from OSU in Early Childhood Education and taught 1st grade at Highland Park Elementary in Stillwater Oklahoma for four years before taking a seven year break to concentrate on our family. Last year, I returned to my former position in 1st grade at Highland Park and am currently enjoying my second school year back in that spot. I am taking this class as a non-degree seeking student in the process of applying for a Library Media degree. Our school is currently looking for a librarian for next year and while I can get emergency certified and apply, I decided to go ahead and start the process of getting the correct certification as this has always been my dream job.
